- Who is dealsnapt for?
dealsnapt is for YOU, your friends, and all shoppers. It is for everyone. We tried to invent the best instrument to enhance and optimize your shopping experience and to take advantage of the best local deals. dealsnapt is for everyone that is struggling with time, budget challenges and the desire to find the best deals around them.
- Who can use dealsnapt?
We have built the following tools for our dealsnapt users:
-IPhone dealsnapt App
-Android dealsnapt App
-Web Interface to access deal details
We have built also a merchant site on the web for all merchants as well as complimentary free Merchant app. You can access the merchant center at: merchant.dealsnapt.com/
- What is next?
We are a young, dynamic start-up with a single mission to improve quality of your life. Since the launch of the first release, we have been working day and night to improve your experience with dealsnapt. We still have so much more planned in terms of features, content and coverage areas. Expect us to:
-Expand our merchant network coverage into new areas
-Continue adding cool new features
-Fix any issues you experience.

- Sign-in & Sign-up
- Do I need to have an account to use dealsnapt?
No you don't need an account to benefit from dealsnapt. However, if you sign up you gain access to more features and can personalize your dealsnapt experience. You can use bookmarks, share deals, comment on deals, rate deals, and participate in promotions, and a lot more.
In addition, we have added a a sign up bonus for all new users. We will deposit $5 credit to your account, which you can spend on the first deal you decide to purchase. From time to time we will award all our users with additional credits for both purchases and redemptions.
- I forgot my password. How do I recover?
If you are using a native dealsnapt username, then go to the sign-in page. There is a link underneath the password field titled "Forgot my password". Click on this link, and enter your sign-up email address. Your password instructions will be sent to this email address.
If you signed in to dealsnapt through Facebook, then you should not have any issues signing in through Facebook. If you are still having any issues, please go to your Facebook app on your phone and make sure you can sign in to your Facebook account.
- Should I use my Facebook login or create a new account?
Up to you. It is easier to sign in through Facebook, you will skip the sign-up page and it is easier to share deals on your Facebook wall if you are signed in through Facebook.
- About "Nearby Deals"
- I installed the dealsnapt app and clicked on 'Nearby Deals'. I don't see any deals?
Check your settings first. By default we display only deals within 10 miles. Use the "Search Radius" slider at top left to change your search radius. The larger the radius, the more results!
Still nothing? That means we have not yet snapt your town. But this should not stop you from using the app. Download the dealsnapt app for iPhone or Android and create deals for everyone see or keep them private. Creating deals take 30 seconds and it is fun :)
You should be able to see 'Nearby Merchants' in six main categories. The list will change based on your current location or location at the top of the page.
All it takes is you and a few others to snapt deals and share with everyone and now you have a very cool set of location-based deals
- Should I wait to use dealsnapt until you guys are in my area?
Not really. You can always see merchants nearby, check promotions and make some quick cash or win awards. You used to rely on text messages, word of mouth and endless product review sites to find good deal. Now you have dealsnapt to create a list of bookmarks, share with friends and family or everyone, and to read comments from fellow shoppers and rate deals.
- What is a FLASH deal?
Merchants around you that are in our merchant network offer FLASH deals. The intention of a FLASH deal is to be active on a given day and scheduled to run for a number of hours. A FLASH deal is used to quickly notify users of a deal NOW, and has prominence in the application.
In other words, when you see a flash deal, and it looks good to you, don't wait too long. They are active only for a few hours, they tend to have steep discounts and they are very popular.
Subscribe yourself to receive instant notifications for flash deals on your smartphone by downloading our iPhone or Android app and going to: My Account -> Settings -> Push Notifications
- I saw an incorrect or inappropriate deal in dealsnapt. What should I do?
Flag the deal. When you are in the deal details, you can see the flag at the top right corner. Click on the flag icon and choose why you are flagging the deal. You can additionally send us your comments with the flag action.
We promise to review it within the same day and remove the deal if we find it inappropriate or incorrect.
- Do others get to see my personal (private) deals in 'Nearby Deals'?
No! These are deals about products and services for your eyes only and whomever you decide to share with. You can identify these deals by the 'private' banner.
- How do I check all deals in a store?
You can find deals in a specific store in two different ways,
1. Go to "Nearby Deals" and type the store name into the search field. dealsnapt will show you only deals from this store.
2. Go to "Nearby Merchants", and search for the shop by name. Now you can access the shop (merchant) profile and you will see any deals this shop currently has active.
- Can I check for deals in other locations?
Yes you can. You can check any other location within your city or any other destination you can think of. Type any address where you want to see deals and merchants into the search box at the top of the page. The field will suggest locations for you. Pick one of the selected locations. Type for example, "1200 Clayton Way, Clayton Way, San Francisco, 95678", etc., and click on the suggested location. You can locations you check often like work and home, or go back to one of your recent search locations by clicking the arrow on the right side of the search box.
- Why should I create any deals? What is in it for me?
You should create deals for many reasons:
1. First of all, creating a deal is really fun. It takes 30 seconds to do :-)
2. So many shops, so many discounts, so many sales events, so many clearance events and so little time. We all see great deals whenever we go out shopping. If you and everyone else contribute to dealsnapt, you will find what you are looking for whenever, and wherever at great discounts.
3. When a merchant validates a deal you create, you will get automatic update on price changes, quantity left, and all other information.
4. We all tell each other about deals we see; it is either word of mouth or a text message sometimes with an image. dealsnapt captures your daily habits in a formal, stylish way. You can always check your conversations over private deals with your friends or see what products you liked and shared with others.
5. And finally, by creating deals you could win cash prices and rewards. Always check the "Promotions" area from the "Home Page". Make shopping a truly rewarding experience.
- How do I see all the deals I shared with my friends?
Click on the following: My Account -> My Deals -> Filter -> Shares (NOTE - You need to be signed in to go to your profile).
This will allow you to see bookmarks, your posted deals, and comments as well.
Your friends can share deals with you either through text message, email or through their Facebook wall posting. Tap the link on your phone. The dealsnapt app will be launched and details of the deal will be shown.
- I saw something special for my significant other. I want to share this deal with ONLY them. How do I do that?
dealsnapt is great for private deals and conversations around them. Downloads the dealsnapt app onto your iPhone or android smartphone and tap on the "Add a Deal" button on "Home Screen" or from the "+" sign in the "Nearby Deals" screen. Enter the deal details and a few images. Tap either "My Friends" or "Just Me". This will ensure you have a private deal. Comment on the deal, and share with your special someone or circle of friends via text message or email.
The recipient simply clicks on the deal link and will see everything they needs to know about the product; its location, price, discount, store information, and your personal comments.
- I shared a deal with my friend. They do not have a smart phone. Can they see my deal?
Absolutely. We allow our users to see all our deals on the web as well. Your friend needs to click on the link and your shared deal will open on any compatible browser.
- About "Purchasing Deals"
- What's the difference between "redeem" and "purchase"
"Redemption" is like giving a coupon to the merchant. The merchant will enter a secret pin code into your dealsnapt app on your Smartphone and you will pay for the deal at the time of sale. You don't need to make any payments from your app. You get the discount just showing your app. Yes it's that simple!!
A "purchase" is like pre-paying and reserving the deal by charging your credit card in advance through dealsnapt. Once purchased you will receive a voucher for that deal. When you go to use the voucher the merchant will scan, or record the voucher, and the voucher cannot be used again. You will not need to pay the value of the voucher at the time of sale in the store.
- The deal says, "redeemed" and it won't let me buy more.
Some merchants limit the amount of times any one person can use a deal. You can think of this like a "1 per customer" deal or a "Limited offer".
- I can't find my voucher. Help me!
You can find access your vouchers in your account on the web (on the top right most pages) and in the confirmation email you received after you purchased your voucher. In the iPhone or Android apps vouchers can be found in "My Account" or from "Quick Links" in the upper left side of the home screen.
- How do I update a failed order?
Simply check your email for your failed order and click on "Update Order" link. Or go dealsnapt app for iPhone and Android and tap on "Buy Now" for the same deal.
- Can I buy multiple quantities in a single order?
No, currently you can purchase 1 item per voucher. However, you can repeat the purchase multiple times depending on how many times are allowed by merchant per deal per user.
- I purchased a deal and I saw a message about winning prizes. How does this work?
Yes! Every redemption and purchase enters your name into periodic drawings for exciting prizes like cash, tablets and more. The more you use dealsnapt to save money, the more opportunities you have to win fun stuff! Winners are notified by email at the end of each drawing. Check out promotions on a regular basis so you are not missing anything.
- I'm having trouble purchasing a deal? I need help!
Try these steps to fix your problem purchasing:
a) Make sure the deal is available for purchase. An easy way to find this out is if the green animated panel at the top of the deal details says "Buy Now".
b) Make sure you have a valid credit card. If you do not have one then tap the button below "Purchase With" and add your credit card.
c) Make sure you have a strong Internet connection.
Keep in mind that processing may take up to 24 hours. You will receive an email when your voucher is ready.

- My $5 credit did not work.
Sorry about that! Your $5 credit is automatically applied to deals where the cost to you is greater then $6. Be sure to check your account to see if you have an active $5 credit available. If you believe you are experiencing an issue with your credit please contact us at support@dealsnapt.com
- How do I print my voucher?
There is usually no need to print your voucher, just bring your phone with you and show the merchant the voucher. You can find your vouchers in "My Account".
If you need to print your voucher visit http://www.dealsnapt.com/ from a browser and log in.
- What do I do with my expired voucher?
If your voucher expires please contact the merchant directly. You are still entitled to the cash value of the voucher, even if the promotion or voucher has expired.
- What is total bill?
The merchant may choose to enter the total of your transaction for their records. The total bill amount is how much you spent including the deal value during that visit. This feature will not affect your savings. It is used to let the merchant know how valuable you are to them.
- They did not redeem my voucher in-store, is that ok?
Yes that is okay. We work with our merchants and update used vouchers regularly. You can also send us a note if you want us to redeem your voucher.
- How do I gift a deal?
Tap onto buy and you will see a gift check box. Once you click the gift option, you will be able to enter your recipient's name, email and a personal message. Once you confirm the purchase we will send an email with your personal message with all the instructions they need to claim their gift. You can always go to "Gifts" in your web account to print and hand it over as well.
- How do I claim my gift?
Please check your inbox for your gift email. You have two options: a) Print your voucher directly from your mail or b) link the gift to your available vouchers by choosing "link to account" action. Once linked to your account, you can always pull up your voucher on your smart phone and redeem it at the merchant location.
- My friend gifted me a deal. I can't find my gift. What do I need to do?
Ask your friend to re-send the gift email from his dealsnapt account. Or ask them to print the voucher and hand it over to you in person. Your gift is safe with us. It is possibly a typo with your email address or the email is in your spam folder.
- How do I refund my purchase?
If you just purchased your voucher - Please contact us to request a refund of a voucher purchased within the last 48 hours.
You can find our contact information by visiting the voucher you would like to refund, and tapping the help button on the top-right corner of the screen (above the QR Code).
If you purchased your voucher a few days ago - Please contact the merchant directly to request a refund if your voucher was purchased over 48 hours ago. You can find the merchants contact information on the voucher.
- I redeemed my voucher. Can I return the merchandise?
Vouchers and their associated items are subject to the merchants return policy. Please contact the merchant directly for information. You can find the merchant's contact information on the voucher.
- Merchant out of business, what can I do?
We are committed to providing a refund if merchant is out of business or not reachable. Contact us and we will refund the total amount.
- Can I purchase deals on the web?
Yes, you can purchase deals by visiting the deal on http://www.dealsnapt.com and clicking the orange "Buy" button on the left hand side of the screen.
- About Promotions
- What are promotions?
Promotions are our way of saying "thank you" for being engaged and active with dealsnapt. We run promotions per area; whether it is a small college town, a large metropolitan area or nationwide. Our most popular promotions are:
- Post the most: dealsnapt shoppers can win cash prices or awards by just snapping deals while they are shopping and sharing with their friends. It is that easy. (see promotions for details)
- Refer a merchant: the more merchants we have in our network, the more variety of deals for all of us. Ask merchants if they want to sign up for a free trial of dealsnapt. You are can to earn money for every new merchant (see promotions for details)
- Will there be promotions again in my area?
Don't feel down because the promotion just expired. We would like to keep our deals growing, so chances are we will quickly offer new promotions in your area. Check back again within your dealsnapt app for promotions.
- I clicked on promotions, but I don't see anything?
Sorry about that! Apparently we are not yet active in your city. Drop us a note and invite us over, we will prioritize our efforts of reaching your city.
It is also possible that promotions in your area have expired. Again, send us a note and we will review promotions in your area.
- About "Nearby Merchants"
- Store information is incorrect in dealsnapt. How do I correct it?
You can't. But you can inform us and we will be very happy to correct the store information. Go to the store profile, flag the merchant and select the reason why you flagged this shop. We will immediately review your request and take the necessary action in our system.
Alternatively, you can talk to the store manager and be a referral for that store. So you not only get the store information corrected but also we will reward you with referral award.
- I am not seeing the shops in my area. They are all from another location. How do I see my neighborhood only?
Check your location at the top of most pages (to the right of the dealsnapt logo). If this is not your expected location you can type your location (usually right down to your street address)

- What is that "eye" icon in merchant profile?
No we did not put a hidden camera in the store where we stream live view of the store, if that is what you are thinking :)
Everyone has favorite stores and we all want to be informed about the best deals in our favorite stores before they are gone. With dealsnapt you can "watch" your favorite store and see new deals, deal updates, and store information immediately from your personal profile. All you have to do is click on the "eye" icon to start watching your favorite store.
- I am a merchant and I really liked your app, how do I get more information?
We spent a lot of time creating a merchant center just for you. Plenty of information is available on our merchant site. We are always offering special promotions for first-time customers. Please check merchant.dealsnapt.com/ for more information.
- I see shops around me in my app. Can I check shops at other locations?
Yes you can. You can check any other location within your city or any other destination you can think of. At the top of most pages (next to the dealsnapt logo) you will find a text field with a location name, like "Sacramento, CA". Type in any address where you want to check deals, events and merchants. For example, "1200 Clayton Way, San Francisco, 95678".
- About "My Account"
- What is a $5 credit?
As a way of thanking you for signing up with dealsnapt, we give each new user $5 to spend on deals when purchased through the app or the web.
$5 Credits are automatically applied to any deal over $6 and are good for 3 months after sign up. If you sign up in an area where we don't have any deals within 25 miles, let us know and we will be happy to extend your credit expiration to make sure you can benefit from your sign-up bonus.
To find out if you have a credit, simply go to "My Account" from the dealsnapt home screen.
- How do I use my $5 credit?
Your credit will apply automatically when you purchase a deal over $6 through dealsnapt. To find out if you have a credit, simply go to "My Account" from the apps home screen.
In Nearby Deals, we have both in-app purchasable as well as in-store redeemable deals. You can use your $5 credit towards in-app purchasable deals which are marked as "Buy Now". To see all purchasable deals select "Buy Now" above the deals.
- Can I extend my $5 credit expiration?
Credits cannot be extended past their expiration date in areas where we have plenty of deals. However, if you sign up in an area where we don't have any deals within 25 miles, let us know and we will be happy to extend your credit expiration to make sure you can benefit from your sign-up bonus.
- I am not receiving daily deals for my home location. How do I change that?
Please go to your profile and change your primary selected location and we will start sending you a selection of new, free or flash deals.
When logged in, click the triangle next to your name, click "My Profile" and enter your city into "My Location". Save your profile and we will be sure to let you know about great deals and events around you in the future.
- What are the Savings for?
We want you to feel good about saving money, so we calculate your monthly and yearly savings based on your purchases through dealsnapt. That way, you can see how much money you left in your pocket while shopping smartly.
- My credit card expired. How do I update it?
You can't edit your card however; you can delete the old one and add new one or more cards. The next time you check out just add your new credit card information.
- How can I update my subscription settings?
When signed in, go to your account by clicking you profile information at the top right of most pages. You can update your subscriptions from the "My Subscriptions" tab.
- About "Nearby Events"
- Can I post my own events?
You can post events only as a merchant at this time. We are working on enabling our dealsnapt users to be able to post events as well.
- How do I save events?
Tap onto the event you are interested and then tap onto "Attend" action. This will save the event into your "My Events" folder in your account. On the dealsnapt app for iPhone and Android you may also choose to also save it to your local calendar.
- I am not getting any reminders for my events?
On the dealsnapt app for iPhone and Android you may choose to save events to your local calendar when you tap "attend". This way you will get reminders from your calendar just like any other event scheduled in your calendar.
If you already clicked attend on the web, you can still visit the event on the dealsnapt app, click "attend" again, and select "Add to Calender".
- What is an exclusive event?
Merchants may create "Exclusive" events to only invite private parties rather than creating a public event. If you are invited to an exclusive part through dealsnapt, you must have received a message through SMS, email or through Facebook. Please click on the link and tap onto "Attend" action if you want to save to your account.
- Too many events! I want to see only certain events. How do I do that?
It's simple. In "Nearby Events" you will find several filters and search options to narrow down your results. Experiment with the filters to discover local events that interest you!
